Currently, the fraternity has 107 chapters in the nation with eight in Georgia. With knowledge of these requirements, Delta Sigma Phi decided to establish a new chapter at UNG. Each fraternity and sorority may also have higher requirements.

To be eligible, students must be enrolled full time in a baccalaureate or associate program and have a 2.5 minimum GPA. The active sororities are Alpha Gamma Delta, Delta Phil Epsilon, Delta Zeta, Phi Mu, Sigma Gamma Rho, and Sigma Kappa. UNG also has five Panhellenic sororities, three gender-inclusive fraternal organizations (GIFO), and one culturally based sorority. The other six fraternities - Delta Chi, Kappa Sigma, Phi Delta Theta, Pi Kappa Phi, Sigma Chi, and Sigma Nu - are based on UNG's Dahlonega Campus. It also was the first Latino fraternity at UNG. The first fraternity to establish its roots in Gainesville was Lambda Theta Phi in fall 2019. Going forward, we look to uphold and continue to build on our legacy. Delta Sigma Phi was founded on the ideals of friendship, harmony, and culture and here at the University of Georgia we strive to maintain these ideals as standards of achievement. Also, we hold a yearly pageant showcasing one member from each of the sororities at UGA in order to raise money for a local organization called Extra Special People (ESP), which benefits people with disabilities. We are currently the largest fraternity at the University of Georgia with over 130 members, and we are proud to consistently be in the top 5 fraternities with regards to GPA. The Theta Chi chapter of Delta Sig has also made a significant impact on those around us. The brotherhood here at UGA has provided me friendships that will last a lifetime and countless opportunities to hone my leadership skills and make an impact on the Athens community. I decided to rush on a whim but immediately knew I had found a home when I accepted my bid from Delta Sig. As a rising freshman, however, I was unsure of what I wanted to do. Currently, I am a junior studying Finance and Real Estate with a certificate in Entrepreneurship.
